As the weather begins to change, it is easy to start
thinking about the holidays ahead. In reflecting on the fall months at
PSHS, it brings a smile to my face! Our students have had a very successful fall in both the
classrooms and on the extracurricular front. Our seniors have been the
first class to experience our new "Senior
English" elective model and we are hearing rave reviews from the
student body. In fact, one student was recently recognized for her
working in the Senior Poetry Elective for her outstanding work.
Our athletic teams have encountered a great deal of
success as well. Three of the four fall teams qualified for tourney play
- both girls soccer and field hockey progressed to the next round - congrats to
all field hockey, girls soccer, and volleyball players and coaches on a great
season! Many years ago, teams never qualified for tourney play at PSHS -
it is now the norm due to the hard work by players and coaches! In
addition our football team is currently undefeated in the league and will be
playing for the league title Friday night against Marshfield at home - come
support the panthers! If students
purchase tickets in school on Thursday or Friday they will receive a reduced
ticket price!
Again, the winter “Meet The Coaches” is this Thursday,
November 8th at 7:00 p.m. and the annual Powder Puff Game is
Tuesday, November 13th at 6:00 p.m. at South. As usual we encourage all students to get
involved.
